I have the Eclipse Type R 6.5's in my doors - the ones that come with tweets and a crossover. Many will tell you not to put the crossover in the door, because when you want to change it, you have to take the doors off again. But the Eclipse just comes with a 0, -3, -6 DB jumper. I set it and sealed it all up.

The crossover was just the right size to fit underneith the cable/connector bundle that sits between the tweeters and the wolfers (I think its the bundle for the door locks). I stuck the crossover under this bundle, then mixed up some Liquid Metal epoxy and put a dab on each corner. It isn't going anywhere.

I used small black cable ties to secure mine to the wiring harness that was already in the door next to my new speakers (see pic)

I don't have a picture to show it yet, but around the area where the armrest is, there's an indentation in the metal panel that screws to the door. Stone Z's picture up there shows the panel on the left side. I mounted the crossovers for my JL XR components in that area using 2 screws and double sided tape to stop vibrations. Only thing is, use short screws and be careful drilling in order to not hit the window. The area is probably like 5x7" or so. I had to do this since the XR crossover is really big compared to others I have seen.

I ended up mounting it in the area Stone Z did, BUT just on the other side of the wire cluster and horizontal. I ended up using 2 screws, there is a lot of space between the metal panel and the window

I have kickers and I mounted mine behind the door facia. There is a slight indent in the metal at the center of the door. This was just enough for me to fit the crossover. I use metal screws to attach it that were short enough not to interfere with the glass or automatic window mechanism. Great hidden install.

I just installed my Boston pros, and we ended up mounting the crossover on the actual door panal underneithe the locking mechanism. This seems to fit good, we used a hot glue gun to mount it.

Using MB Quart reference - my installer put the crossovers in the kickpanels. Was also able to put the same speakers inthe rear tower by cutting the factory grill and grinding off the back of the Quart mounting plate - I came up with that idea I figured if I ever have to replace the rear speakers, I dont want to have to take apart the whole damn car again... Guess I should take some pics...

I used velcro with self adhesive backing.

If you remove the armrest, there is a big block of styrofoam directly under it with a nice flat top surface. I put the "hook' portion of the velcro on top of this styofoam block, and the "loop" portion of the velcro on the back of the cross-over. Makes it real easy to get to if you need to adjust it, or to "unstick" it when removing the door panel.
