Default can i add a dvd player to another hu?

So recently i installed my alpine cde-9873. since its a single din, i was thinking of adding a indash dvd player underneath it in the empty pocket, also installing a screen in the cubby.

so my question is. can i run a indash dvd player and connect it to my alpine HU so it can play sounds through my speakers?

hope this makes sense

You can.

Buy the AiNet to RCA adapter:

I'll use the Pioneer XDV-P6 6 Disc changer as an example. You would take the video outputs from the hideaway box and run it to the screen you put in your cubby, then take the audio outputs and run them to the AiNet adapter. Set your radio to "AUX" source and you will be able to get audio through the headunit.
