Default please help me build my system!!

hey everyone, ive been looking into putting a kick *** sound system in my 08Z but i dont know a thing about the differences between the different types of amps and subs or how many i will be needing to get my desired sound.

what im looking for is suggestions from everyone who has a killer set up that gives more then enough bass to get noticed and of course, good looks are a must.

i think ive decided on the f90bt headunit by pioneer despite some of the complaints on its sluggish boot up time. after that im in a hole. originally i thought about putting 2 10inch subs under the strut bar, but then heard it would actually sound cleaner and thump more with 1 really good 12 inch sub. what do you guys think?

next of course comes the amp or ampS.... again, no idea what so ever what the technical differences are. please help.

lastly comes the speakers.... should i stick with the same brand as the sub and amp or does it not matter? im hearing all this about crossovers but dont understand it. also, some say just do the door speakers and forget the rear, but i feel like thats a waste.

again, i am clueless about this but i want to get this done soon, seeing as how ive been trying to figure it out for a long time now. any suggestions, potential set ups or idea would be greatt and really appreciated. i want a very clean, loud and bass loaded system that will impress anyone who hears it. im not really on a strict budget so please tell me the best of the best in terms of what i am looking for

again, i kno this is a lot to ask but i really do appreciate those of you who try to help me out!

First off you need to set yourself a budget on how much you are willing to spend, and next define what your goals of the system are going to be. Do you just want something loud with lots of thump? or clarity and balance? Once you set your goals and your budget then I think people here can give you more direction. Your best bet though since you will most likely be getting all of this installed at your local shop would be to go in and speak to an installer, let them know your goals and he or she can piece together a system for you based on your budget minus the cost of the install. The install can get quite costly for those who dont want to do it themselves and this can lead to you blowing your budget easily.

Your system will only be as good as your weakest link!! Cheap out on one thing and then it pretty much falls short of what you want. Don't be afraid to buy your items on ebay. It will save you tones of money. Setup is simple. Headunit, AMPS(2), COMPONENT speakers, and yes your subs. Depending on how big you wanna go then you might wanna upgrade your Alternator. Don't think you'll need it though. Just do some research and i'm sure you'll have it down. Any questions feel free to ask.

Good Head Unit - Pioneer, Kenwood, Eclipse ...
Front Components - Really depends on how much you want to spend and what is your budget.. my best bang for the buck recommendation is the Diamond Audio D661S
Rear Speakers - disconnect them
Subs - FI Q no question its the best bang for the buck out there
Amps - many choices here.. just choose what fits your budget and can power the equipment you have chosen

^^^ Take doug's advice. It is a great base to start your system.

First, set a budget though. Then come back here and we can suggest specific models for you if you want.
