Default Windows wont roll down all the way :(

So I got some speakers installed in the Z today.. just replaced the fronts with some focals. Now my windows wont roll down all the way... there is maybe 1-1.5 inches of window left after I attempt to roll down all the way. Any ideas?
Also my service engine soon light came on as well, I had a navi gps unit put in at the same time... car wasn't driven by the techs(had reset odometer), could it be related? Thanks guys.

factory speakers have a spacer that you gotta use for some aftermarket speakers

You can

a) buy them from a sponsor of this board (i.e. Zenclosures)
b) buy them from an audio shop
c) make your own out of MDF using the stock speaker as your template
d) modify the stock speaker and use the frame as the spacer (there is a diy somewhere on this forum I think.

I would never take my car back to that shop again. Sounds like some kids doing it that had no idea what they were doing.

I just did mine last weekend. Cut the factory speaker out and use the factory plastic mount for your new speakers

Yeah these teabaggers pissed me off... I had to explain to them what to do, despite me being totally indolent in regard to speaker installation. The window issue is solved.

Oh, my service engine soon light is on now too.... went to autozone and had them pull the codes:

open or short circuit condtion
poor electrical connection
faulty fuel level sensor

****in awesome... going to Nissan tomorrow.

If it turns out to be as a result of poor audio installation, I would make the shop pay for it. They may have spliced some wires that they shouldn't have while installing the gps unit (or may have done a poor job splicing the correct wires).

Where did you take the car to? Keep us updated on what Nissan finds. They would have had to really screw something up to throw a code as the audio system doesn't generate CELs.
