Default Flip key

I was on ebay to get new rubber buttons for my remote and ran across this item. It is a flip key remote. You have to get the blade cut, move the remote circuit board into it from your remote and move the transponder chip from the key into the new housing. Seems pretty straight forward.......

The only question I have is, can the transponder chip be easily removed from the key head? I see what I thought was an access door by the blade, but I can't pry it open.

Check out this DIY guide...it uses a very similar key fob design and talks about how to remove the transponder chip.
