i was also reading, that if you get an after market head unit, the steering controls dont work, and you would have to buy a separate cable or whatever to make it work. has anyone ran into this problem?

I recommend the Alpine IVA-W505, I found it here for around 700 bucks. If you're serious about watching movies in your vehicle, this is the headunit to get.. looks very clear. If not, then it's a bit expensive for what it is. It's very simple to navigate through compared to the kenwood touch screens. Many features.. so on and so forth.

About the steering wheel controls, you'll need a third party adapter.. I believe my installed used one made by PAC.. not 100 percent on that though. but, it hindered the used of the supplied remote. So no flip flopping through songs as you stand by your car showing off.. lol

so true. i still have problems finding where some of the settings are buried.

PAC makes them for our cars. you can get one that uses IR or one that is made for a deck that has a remote control jack.

http://www.amazon.com/JVC-Double-DIN...1620481&sr=8-1

I just installed the above in my Nismo. It has built in navigation, BT, Ipod control (without having to buy an extra adapter), and SD card slot and it's priced reasonably.

make sure you want single or double din. For me i chose single since i like that extra din as a pocket to hold my cellphone & wallet
