Default 350Z Radar Detector Mount for Escort and Valentine One

Didnt find this one when doing my search for a mount originally so I thought I would share it in case you guys havent already located it on your own. It fits my Escort perfectly and looks damn nice in the car, especially with the little machined "Z" in the windshield. Nice people and shipped very quickly. Link below if interested:

I don't know either, but just about everybody recommends a hardwire setup to the fuse panel.

+1! I watched the demo install in the '08 G35...any idiot could do that! Why wouldn't you? I'm buying a V1 or a 9500ix with a Stealthcord this week!

Why would you not just use a regular phone cord to accomplish what the stealth cord does? No sense in paying extra money for a cord you can purchase from a convenient store nowadays.

I have a blendmount that uses the same mount method. The mount is rock solid and no vibration.

However the V1 slides all the way toward the windshield in the mount and will vibrate, with bass, against the plastic tab that holds it in plase.

My "fix" when I am jamming is to pull the V1 way back in the mount. It pints up a bit at that point but the vibration noise stops.

So it looks like it still hooks on to the factory radar mount? So you can slide it back and forth which I hate cause it slides forward often.. The best mod is the mirror etching and mounting the unit itself in the back of the vehicle.

Does anyone having issues using the 12V power source directly off the power rearview mirror using
this or similar to power their V1 or 9500xi?

I use Mike's Mount (the original Z mirror mount) and the stealth cord with my 9500 and I haven't had any issues.

I am really thinking about picking up one of these valentine1 up. I am curious to the owners that have one, if they are worth the investment? and how good it is in city, since that is my most of my driving. Highway on weekends.

It is worth it. But depends how much you can get one for. I got my V1 (2012's revision) for ~$300 few months used from a friend. You get to see where the signals are coming from, so it's handy. Good range too, but I think people go for V1 over Escort for the directional indicators.

unfortunately I don't know anyone to buy used. But with these types of purchases I rather buy new with a warranty. I am leaning with the V1. Like the how some people install and get that clean look. Thanks for your feed back

ive had my valentine since 2002 and is easily the best unit out there. I broke it twice (dropping it) and sent it back for repair with a $45 check in the box to cover the repairs as instructed by valentine and both occassions had the check returned un-cashed. Yes!! 2 free repairs. Unbelieveable customer service. I use it all the time in both cars. Range is outstanding. Never have been pinched by the boys using it. The arrows are without question the best feature, what separates it from all the others. Id highly recommend it. Once you've used it, you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner & why other radar detectors are even on the market still. Worth every penny. Blendmount.com has a mount that attaches to the rearview mirror & is the perfect compliment. I have the concealed display which makes it invisible to outside detection when in use, very useful in states where they are illegal. Blenmount.com has an adaptor to tap into the rearview mirror power but i chose to use the power for the concealed display.
