No one has had to do this? wow I must be the only odd one that wants his child in the car. Assuming you all knopw not to put anyone under 12 in your passenger seat because of the dangers of the airbag.

Man, have I got a story for you.

If you've asked your Nissan parts manager, you'll know that the airbag cutoff kit is;

A) Not made by Nissan
B) $460- $550 depending on your discount.

What your Nissan parts guy, nor NNA nor the company that manufactures this part will not provide is any information concerning this kit. What it includes, what it looks like, why some cable and a lock/switch costs this kind of money. Oh, and by the way it is not returnable, so you have to fork out your money, wait for it to show up and if it turns out ot be a box of Jello, well, too bad.

I've been asking NNA for more information about this kit since before I picked up my car over a year ago, and still nothing.

If you find anything different, please let me know.

well I had to apply with the govt. for permission to get it installed and it can only be installed(according to the Govt. paper work) by a contractor okayed by the Govt. A guy I call quoted me $375.00 installed. If you need any paper work or the # for the Govt. guy let me know and I'll supply it to you

This site has some amazing features, if you go to the search function and type in air bags you will find all the info you need.

However, because Im such a nice bloke here are the links

For all the paperwork for the government try www.nhtsa.dot.gov/airbags

And, for the airbag switch try this link, www.airbagonoff.com

You are more than welcome but please remember I have not tried either of these sites and are simply passing on what has been posted elsewhere.

As always

This is what I got from my dealer.

1. You first need to sign the waiver form.
2. Dealer needs to order parts.
3 After parts come in, make appt for install.

But wait...tech tells me that nobody is trained for that install, so it cannot be done by them.

Still trying to resolve install issue...will post again.
