Default Any one use a 10w7 in the 350?

I have one sitting here that I scavenged from my last car before I traded it in. The box I have is nasty and I would not use it in the Z. I was wondering if anyone has experience mounting these in the stock location or would you recomend building something under the strut bar. I would like something relatively stealth but if its going to sound like crap I can pass on using the stock locations. I have JL 500/1 and a farad cap that I am going to use. Thinking about getting something from Nazar since it would probably be cheaper than having someone fabricate something locally. TIA for any ideas.

Yes, a member here "Nazar" makes a fiberglass enclosure for a JLw7 I believe.

Cool. I just emailed him. Sounds like that is the best option since I already own this speaker and the shops I have been to around here always want to keep the car a few days to make the box. Since this is my only car that does not work out too well for me.

Where does the Nazar unit fit? I liked something I saw on the forums where that had two sub boxes in the very back of the trunk, it was matched to the interior and looked like it belonged there. Kind of expensive though...

Here's a picture of Nazar's box (sorry for the poor quality as it's not my picture). Fits perfectly under the strut bar. He's who I'm going to when I'm ready for my install.

Thanks for the pictures. What does it look like on the back side? Is it flushed up with the bar or does it mate with the stock speaker compartment? Anyone have pictures? Also if you already have this box what is it made of? If it is just mdf I have a table saw and could make it myself. If it is glass its worth it. The stuff is great but messy and I only have a one car garage apartment so I don't have a place to build a fiberglass box.

nazar's place is awesome. he's actually building me a custom set up for my car. it's going to be taken off the road for the winter while he works on it...and then puts it in his showroom as his demo car for the rest of the winter. i'll post pics when he starts the fabrication.

buy from nazar....he has the best quality for the money!! i recommend it 100%!

If you really want a stealth install, look at this...

I'm sure you could do the same thing with a 10" sub.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing. I really hate to give up any cargo room even though I am single. The problem is that speaker needs over a cubic foot of air and it weighs a ton and its about 9" deep. I think it could be done but I would have to build it out of glass. I built a fiberglass box for my C5 and it took quite awhile. I am not pro when it come to the fiber boxes and luckily the black carpet hid most of my shortcomings on that box. If I could get the 10w7 in there and have it sound good that would be the ideal situation.
