help finding 8.6" deep box
i currently own a 10" alpine type X.. i had it from my previous car.
ive looked around the forums already and the only box i could find was the zenclosure box:http://www.zenclosures.com/Nissan_35...x_p/z110ar.htm
imo, this box takes up wayyyy too much space.. can somebody pls find me a box that is 8.6" deep and have an OK amount of trunk space??
it doesnt have to be custom.. but i would like it to be behind the strut somewhere..
most boxes are only 7" deep
building the box myself wouldnt be an option since i dont have access to tools.. thanks!

Other than looking pretty the next most important thing to consider with a subwoofer box is the acoustical volume of air trapped inside which forms the other half of the speaker and actually affects the sound. The Zenclosure is designed to trap enough air to match about 75% of the subwoofers in the market and a good number of them perfectly producing a Qtc between 0.7 and 0.9.
You need to decide if you're going to favor fashion/looks/small size over sound quality and then either build a box that looks nice or sounds nice. Nothing wrong with either choice but just know that you're making that choice.
