Default Radar, rear view mirror, telephone cord?

Well I searched but couldnt find enough information to make me feel comfortable.

I want to hardwire my radar and was thinking it would be easier to wire it to the mirror. So I bought a telephone cord and cut a end off. I see black, red green and yellow. I read that I am suppose to use red (+) and green. Is this correct?

I also looked at the connected that is plugged into my mirror. I see black/silver, black/red and black/orange. I could not find any info on which wire to tap into.

Or would it be easier to just run the phone cord to the fuse box and use a add circuit?

BTW I have a ZR if that makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm really curious to see if this works. I have my 9500ix mounted to, and powered by, my rearview mirror. Someone suggested the phone cord thing, but I went ahead and got a Stealthcord. I love the setup! Looks clean and works like a charm. What year is your Z and I might be able to tell you which wires on your connector to use.

Are you sure about the coloring?

http://seethisnowreadthis.com/2008/1...asti-for-free/

The wires are so thin it seems very hard to work with. Any tips on working with the thin wires before I attempt this?

Anywhere I can buy I telephone cord with thicker wires?

I have an 04. What wires did you tap into on the mirror?

This one says red is - and green is +.

http://www.clubarmada.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13132

But this one says the opposite.

That 2 people say it one way the 2 saying its the other. Which is it? Does it not matter?

This looks easier, I think I am just going to buy the pin and do this myself. So I dont have to wait for it to come in.

Red (+) = Black and pink ('04-'06) or Brown ('07+)

Black (-) = Black (all years)

This is how mine is wired (V1)

How does this work? I can't see but it just looks like the wire has built in prongs instead, how would that prevent you from having to hardwire/solder etc?

You just plug the Invisicord into any existing wiring harness that has ignition supplied 12v and ground, the mirror being the most obvious.

This installation picture supplied by a customer might give you more info.
