No lag on mine I wouldn't trade it for anything and I've had it over a year.

Best at what? Your answer to this question could make a big difference in what is suggested.

In terms of features DNX9140 is the best out right now. Others to look at is Pioneer's AVIC-Z110BT and Eclipse's AVN726E.

Those are the three top units out atm, I went with the DNX9140 myself

The USDM lags behind when it comes to all the cool features in source units these days. Since price is no object, import one of these flagship models from Japan. I mean, look at the navigation maps!!! You can't get that here.......

DNX9140 may have a little lag but you'll be happy with the features and pre-out power to help your amps deliver. A couple of Alpine amps, PDX 4.150 for the corners and a 1.600 or 1.1000 for sub(s) mount nicely under the seats for stealth and you're in business.

i was looking at the alpine iva-w505 but could not find very many reviews on it. i do like the Kenwood DNX8120 with garman nav i think that would be the best bet.

If you go to YOU TUBE and just type in w505 you'll find some reviews and installation videos, I can't say that it's the best one out there, it's just the only one I've looked at
and purchased, It should come in tomorrow but won't get installed for a couple of months.
I already have the blackbird but I need to get the steering wheel control, amp and IMPRINT audio processor, I'm going to keep the BOSE OEM subwoofer just to see how
it performs, if it fails it will get replaced. If you are intrested I got mine through AUDIOSAVINGS on EBAY, It even came with a back up night vision camera.

Do any of you recall those "fashion design/artistic" double dins from a little while back?
I forgot the website but they are definately not the normal common double din 7" screens that every one has.. they were REALLY different. Cant really describe it because its been like a year since ive seen it... =(

I think one was pure leds and had a full plastic face but was touch sensitive with no visible buttons, idk. they were really neat but pricey.

I'm not too sure, but don't they look sweet? The US really does lag behind in this technology.

Well Japanese usually keep the best to themselves...I wish I know how to get those to work here...
