Default Perfect dimensions for screen

i got my Z without the NAV, now i want to put a screen in where the NAV was supposed to be, what are the best dimensions, so far i have seen 5,6.5, and 7 inches for most monitors. Is any brand superior in quality to others. If yall could help me out, then thanks in advance

7" farenheit 7001 MHR is PERFECT. get it at millionbuy.com for 280 or so. just dont forget to cut a small notch out in the trim on your dash bin for the infra-red eye. you will see it when you get the screen. i got that screen and an xbox that plays dvds

thats a good one, or if you need it for a PC application xenarc has their 7" in a VGA version w/ or w/o touch screen. not sure if farenheit has such a thing.

Seems like Farenheit 7001 is the best fitted LCD out there so far...
But Xenarc is better for PC

yeah xenarc "fits" perfectly no lines showing on the sides or anything, it fits like it was made for the spot, that is if you take it out of its case thus voiding its entire warrenty.

Question? I have a 2004 Enthusiast, the dash is different from the 2003's where you push the button and it goes in. With mine it opens up but does not go in...don't know if you know what im talking about...But i was just wondering if Farenheit 7001 MHR will still fit? does it fit pretty flush?
Thanks!

I do know what your talking about.

but I for one have no idea how exactly the design is different inside. it might have different stuff that would make the screens not fit the same.

you can take apart your dash and you can see photos of the 03s from behind with the compartment removed, and compare, but thats about the best, I havent seen any 04s with a screen yet, maybe I missed the threads tho.

Default $109 LCD screen?????

Saw this LCD screen on millionbuy.com. Would this screen work for the Z?? For $109, it might be worth trying?

probably too big, 7" is pushing it in both cases, the extra .2" might not fit.

hmm..thats a really good price for a 7" screen. I looked around and couldnt find the resolution at all. You should try to find out what the resolution is on that screen...its probably pretty poor.

Also, you could take the actual screen out of the casing and mount it that way. It would look better as well.
