Question about stock sub and amp wiring dilemma
I just finished fixing up a wrecked z (my story is in the new owners section titled: My "new" 350z) and acquired a stock bose sub and amp unit from the parts car I used. The problem is, I dont have any of the wiring to hook it up (as the z i fixed up is a base model). Is it possible to install this to my base z, and if so, anyone have guidance on how to do it? Thanks a lot for your help

How much of a hacker are you?
I don't know anyone who's gone through the effort of salvaging the "fine quality" Bose amplifier and speaker and connecting it to anything. Someone might have done it but not that I'm aware of. As you've discovered the amplifier is very tiny and is likely good for 6-8 watts worth of power. The speaker is a 4-6 ounce magnet one without much of a cone or surround. You're also going to need the mounting bracket for them.
The amplifier needs plus and minus 12 VDC and takes a line level input but looking at my photo of the Bose amplifier there's a bunch more wires. IMHO unless you're completely set on installing this stuff your time and energy would be better spent spending $30 for a amp and find any speaker for $20 and it's going to sound better.

You're probably right. I havent looked at the amp in awhile, but its definitely larger than the one you have in your picture. Maybe its not the stock amp. Ill browse around within the next month and see if i can find a decent sub to replace the wimpy bose speaker.
