A touring model would definitely have power leather seats. I guess somebody could have mounted the Bose sub behind the drivers seat, but I'm not sure why they would go through the trouble. The Bose system is not that good.
Can you tell if there is an aftermarket amplifier mounted anywhere, like under a seat?
The bose headunit should have the name on the opening for the cassette deck.

i know i have a sub behind the driver seat...
so it could be non-bose!?!??! non bose systems have a sub in the back of the driver seat?
im confused because my car was bought used and it was an import from the USA (im in europe now)
and i do not see any amplifier under the seat....
i think the grill on the sub says bose. i'll have to check tomorrow...

Re:> “I think it’s a base model.”
I don’t believe the OEM Bose upgrade was available for the 2004 Base Model.
Re:> “I think the grill on the sub says bose. i’’ll have to check it tomorrow”.
The logo on the grill behind your driver’s seat may not correspond to the SubW you have mounted there. That’s simply because many people use the OEM Bose speaker grill and panel behind the driver’s seat to mount/cover aftermarket SubW installations.
To discover if you have the Bose system in your car, remove the cover behind the driver’s seat, and examine the SubW. It’s probably an aftermarket speaker.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the Bose systems in the 350z all 6 disc? I bought my 350z used, and it came with the non-Bose CD player (single disc) and it had the Bose grill behind the driver's seat. However what they had done was wire an aftermarket amp and JL subwoofer to the stock CD player and install a Bose grill over the aftermarket sub. I'm betting something similar was done to your car. I have since upgraded to a JVC KW-AVX820 and the subwoofer sounds MUCH better now, along with the sound as a whole.
