Title basically asks the question. i just need to know if i buy a 2006 stock stereo for my 2005 base 350z, will it be a direct fit and work. I dont have the stereo controls on my steering wheel, so that wont be a concern. thanks in advance with any help you guys provide.

It will not work. The dash changed in 06 and the corner's of the OEM headunit are rounded off differently.

Imo find one at a dealership and trace it with paper and a pen and go from there if you really want to know. I wouldn't cut into the dash though if that's what you're thinking...

I did try googling pics, but didn't come up with anything useful. Did I miss a fun story between you and dealers?
