Help Installing Head Unit
Been searching around for a few days on this. All I can find are HU with Nav systems DIY's so I'm not sure if it applies to my install.
I'm installing a basic single din Alpine head unit. My car has a BOSE system installed.
My question is do I need to get the METRA Harness or the PAC OEM-2 orrr do I need to get both??
So far what I'm gathering is the connections are going.. HU >> Alpine Harness >> PAC OEM-2 >> Metra Harness >> Car
Can anyone pleaseee steer me in the right direction on this. My head is killing me trying to figure this out
Thanks in advance!!!

The PAC OEM-2 is a universal sound system interface and controller which can be used for a variety of purposes:
connecting an aftermarket radio to a common-ground speaker system;
converting a factory radio's speaker-level outputs to preamp-level signal that can be connected to aftermarket amplifiers;
adding aftermarket amplifiers to factory premium systems (Bose, JBL, etc.);
connecting an aftermarket radio to a factory amplifier <-------
u will need ur metra harness regardless but as for the pac-oem.. well.. gl and lemme know is u need help..

The metra will nto work for the newer z's but for the 350z it will work. You do not need the pac if you have a 350z. If you have a 370z the metra will not work and not sure about the pac. Honestly if I had the bose system I would take it all out and start new. It is not worth "IMO" to put in a new receiver as it is not going to change the quality of sound.
