Default What deck should I purchase?

I just bought a 2006 350Z. The guy I bought it from installed a Pioneer deck that I don't really like. I'm looking to purchase another one. A nav package would be nice but isn't necessary. Car already has an Eclipse amp aswell. Please give any suggestions. Thanks.

Before I offer any advice, it would be helpful to know what it is that you do not like about the Pioneer deck you already have in the car.

Go with a double din Kenwood. Some models have built in Nav, some you can add nav to. I have the DDX514 and would recommend it or whatever Kenwood's latest model is.

I would also recommend the Kenwood ddx512 or 514 if nav isn't too important. I got the ddx512 refurbished for under $300 about six months ago and love it. It has great ipod controls and very functional touchscreen. The ipod/usb cable plugs in the back and you can run it into the cubby so there are no wires and your mp3 is hidden.

Pioneer recently announced that the company was discontinuing their line of home theater products (Plasma and LCD TV’s, and home audio receivers), and their focus now is mobile A/V devices.

But, lately I’ve read so many messages on different forums complaining about Pioneer’s mobile A/V products… I really have no way to verify this, and I’m wondering if the rumors/postings are “fact or fiction.”

It seems incredulous that a company that was an industry leader is suddenly a ‘loser.” What happened here?
