Hey guys, just wanted to share that I just got this box in the mail. I was skeptical it was going to fit but, it was so cheap I had to try. Sure enough, it fits PERFECT. It will lay flat in the back, with the slant going with the hatch. Couldn't ask for a better fit, and for $20...
I am going to be running 1 10" w3 - can't wait to hear what it sounds like. and with speaker and box it's only a +30 lbs... which isn't bad for a pounding sub.

how do you figure? Zen closures are over weight, over priced and waste space. you completely loose everything directly behind your seat for 1 single 10" sub. that's silly.
i just took a picture, waiting for my battery to charge a bit so i can transfer...

yeah, i just liked the idea of still being able to look back and see through my strut bar. plus it was significantly lighter and cheaper. isn't like you can actually fit any cargo in there anyway....

go **** yourself dude. i didn't post this to be judged, just thought I would share the fact you can get a $20 box instead of a $200 box and it will work just the same. and for me, i wanted something lighter, wanted to see through my strut bar and I didn't wanna be like every other z owner with a subwoofer. to each their own, don't come in here talking nonsense.
I just built a box for my sub, a 12 inch shallow p3. i put it in the back and for a sheet of mdf it was 25 bucks. im going to make a cover for it and do carpet soon but i like how it sounds. I dont understand why so many people are all about spending money. It almost seems like if you dont own jl equipment, your setup is garbage, and if you dont spend 200 on an enclosure, the setup looks cheap. I dont know just my two cents but like i said i have to do carpet and a cover which will cover up the sides of the sub and the amp will be going into the stock sub location.

^^ I spend 100 on my box, and 100 on the sub...Thats 200$...If that is too much, then don't buy a z...I'm all for doing custom work, but you have no room what so ever in the rear...At least with my so called "overpriced" audio equip, I have plenty of room, and it sounds great...

Yea but to me a Z isnt a practical car anyway. Its just a really fun car to drive around. Also, this was all about the project. Being this was my first box im happy how it came out and i enjoyed building it. Sure its big and NOT custom fit under the strut bar or in stock sub spot, but when its said and done i can say i made it, it sounds great and when its carpeted and has the panel i drew up, its gonna look just as good as any of those custom enclosures.
Also this box was made taking in consideration any future upgrades. Ill post some pics when its all done and hopefully then you'll see where i am going with this. Anyhow didnt mean to jack this thread.
