Default OEM Bose Sub Problem

hey, i was wondering if anyone new whats up with my sub. my oem subwoofer would just stop working when im driving and once i hit the plastic right where the amp is mounted, it starts working again and then cuts out once again. is it shorting out with a bad connection or is this a common problem with the 04 z?
im thinking about getting an aftermarket sub with whole new wiring to see if it might fix the problem.

No… What you describe is not a common problem.

Risking sounding foolish… It’s probably a loose connection or bad ground.

The fix should be relatively simple. Check/refasten your wiring.
