New Stereo
hey guys, so its my B day here pretty soon and im buying my self a new stereo, heres what im starting out with.....
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-DDX-514-.html
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...pa+60.9cs.html
and then some kenwood speakers for the rear, already got those. okay so heres my question, i know how to get the car apart, but can i use the stock subwoofer that comes with the touring model with this head unit. the car is a touring model 2003 edition, and i really dont want to have to mess with it to much, because if i was to sell the car, i would take the stereo with me....so is there anyway to hook it up, i have searched but only found somewhere where you have to buy the manuals to do it. Thanks Ben

Reading your message, my guess is you have an OEM Bose CES; and you are replacing…
My advice is you are wiser replacing the junk and proprietary OEM Bose SubW.
You could get the Infinity BassLink for an easy and inexpensive installation. That will provide much better sound and save endless headaches trying to adapt the OEM Bose SubW to your new CES swap.

EDIT: The Infintiy BassLink isn't great; but it does sound OK, and it fits the stock SubW position. And, you have the advantage of an easily removed device when trading the car.
Retaining the OEM Bose SubW is foolish when swapping the H/U and speakers. It's difficult to integrate into non-Bose Setups and provides weak sound.
- The H/U
- Front speakers
- Rear speakers

I would suggest not buying from sonicelectronix... I had a bad experience with them a while back.. Maybe its changed but I would go with Crutchfield
EDIT:
Just looked at Crutchfield and noticed that the HU you chose is discontinued... I'd be careful buying this HU from anywhere know that...
