Default Pioneer AVH-4200 installed...

Had the Pioneer AVH 4200 installed, and for the look, features, and cost (I think retail is $549) I reccomend this to anyone looking for an indash touchscreen dvd with the ability to add bluetooth and nav. The option to add a usb powered hard drive up to 250gb is **** (right now I just have an 8gb thumbdrive plugged in), and the ability to change the colors is great for matching the orange gauge and button colors in the Z... I'll post more pics soon..

Partially. I removed the stock subwoofer and stock sub amp and replaced it with a 120 watt amp, and a 1200 watt Pioneer shallow mount sub in a custom box that was wired through high output from the stock head unit, which it is now wired through RCAs from the 4200... (I know the amp is only 120 watt, it was more of a "just for now" decision)

I'm doing a website for a company that does Audio/Video/Remote Starts/Security etc, so I'm not quite sure of the exact cost, as it's among a few other things that are being done as well...

It has one composite video out.... check page 10..

Not really an install issue, but in Park, if you hit eject and choose the SD card, the lcd sliding out barely hits the shifter, not a huge issue but nonetheless an issue (SD card eject slides the lcd out further then the cd eject.)

The Avic-U220 is pricey, looks like retail is around 400 or so, I saw one on google shopping for $380, personally I wasn't really interesed in the Nav portion, but it's nice the option is there.

Pioneer 800 watt digital mono amp and 1200 watt slim fit 10" sub.

The piece of wood is mounted in the stock sub hole, and the amp ios mounted to it.

The sub box I made out of an old full size single sub box, and just cut it in half, cut 2 corners off and recarpeted it... good enough for now, fits half descent into the corner

Nice install. I just put the p4200-dvd in mine today. Did you use the metra kit? Yours fits nice. I used the metra kit and it the unit wouldnt eject properly without hitting it on the top. It reuired lots of dremmeling. I've got a 2005.

At first it hit and woulnd't close properly, it had to be trimmed but only slightly. I know the Kit wasn't for a Z and the installer modified the kit to fit and work with mine. Actually, I noticed if I have it in park and try to eject the SD card, it hits the gear shift, but since I rarely (if ever) do that I'm not too concerned.

Just had the exhaust done today, I'll be posting pics and audio/video in the other section possibly tomorrow..

Have you confirmed the ability to add a usb powered portable hard drive yet?

I have a 320gb portable WD drive back home not being used that I could use for this IF it works of course. I don't want to route the wire and cut the plastic for nothing.
