Alpine W900 installed
I got the new ALPINE W900 installed. With it I have bluetooth, backup camera, ipod, steering wheel controls and DVD bypass (allows me to play DVDs and use the navigation without being parked).

I'm disappointed with the cover art image. It looks really crappy and low resolution.

The DVD picture is a lot better than it looks in this picture. The vertical lines in the picture aren't visible at all in person.

You can move the guide cones a little to configure it but not really enough.
Next up is an Alpine 4.150 amp, Focal 165KR2s, and a JL W3.

Thanks.
The bypass is the PAC-TR7. It's always on and it made the install so much easier. You normally have to tap into the e-brake and foot brake, with the TR7 you don't have to worry about any of that.
The back up camera is the Alpine HCE-105 which works, but I learned that if you are going with the W900 you really want the HCE-107D back up camera.
The dash kit is American International. It looked great when I had the deck fully recessed but it didn't have enough clearance to open. I think it looks a little funky now.
Nice!
Thanks for taking the effort posting pictures and the great screen shots.
Alpine’s visualization using guide cones is a very cool feature in the backup camera. The fact that you can adjust this makes it even better.
I understand your disappointment with the compromise on the flush fitment. But, I always prefer function over form, and it really does not look bad at all. Gaps are much worse than a slight protrusion.
I think one of Alpine’s best features is the sharp and clear LCD screens they incorporate into all of their devices.
Good installation.

I plan on going with the Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD, so I'm not sure what I will do about the reverse camera.
That relay is perfect! My research only took me as far as the p-brake bypass switch but this is far more convenient. Thanks!
Also, I like the way the dash kit recedes a little allowing the head unit to be flush with the dash but also have room to open and close. Are the pictures posted how you currently have it oriented to function properly?
Your install looks very good. Thank you as well for pictures

My steering wheel controls don't work as quickly as they did with the stock headunit, but they get the job done. They all need to be held for a fraction of a second to work.
I found by skipping over the "seek up/down" part of the programing and only programing the button for "track up/down" it worked they way I wanted it to.
Looking to do this on my 07. I have bought the wheel controls, PAC-TR7, and will be getting the bluetooth, and rear camera soon. Im doing this for my first install, and need a little help if you could. Im also adding a 10 sub and an amp in the void behind the driver.
My question is where did you get the dash suround trim around the HU (exact sight), and where did you get the harness to install the headunit to the factory wires (sight)? I was going to wire the speakers to a seperate amp, but i'm not sure if im up for rewireing the doors and everything. Any help with the install would be great.
