i just bought a clarion 7 in. touchscreen hu from my friend, but to watch dvds on it the parking brake has to be engaged. i'm sure theres a quick fix for this (eg tapping it to a wire giving the same or similair signal). anyone have any ideas about which wire could provide a steady signal so dvds can be played all the time?

 

you just ground the wire thats supposed to go to parking break sensor. thats it buddy

yep...that works. that's what i had to do for my Kenwood DVD/CD HU

 

check under the passenger side dash. they might have put a relay under there. i just cut out the relay that they installed and it works fine.

 

i did the install myself, so i know theres no relay. but grounding the wire worked perfect, so thanks again!!
