Unhappy Does my Bose stereo do funny things, or is this normal?

Hey-lo everyone.

Few quick questions about my stock bose stereo (2008 Touring with Nav if it makes a difference)

1) My LCD doesn't backlight AT ALL when my lights aren't on, it's virtually impossible to see whats on the display - I'm assuming it's supposed to backlight even when the lights are off?

2) When listening to FM radio, I can hit Display and it will give me the song title artist etc (obviously if supported by the radio station) but it doesn't scroll, so I'll get one screen - say the song title - BUT THEN it goes back to just showing my the frequency and time. Shouldn't it toggle between the song data? Meaning I should be able to hit it and it will leave the information stream up?

Hope my questions made sense, I'd really like to know if this is abnormal, if there's a fix or if I need a new bose headunit.

Thanks!

Matt

1) - That's not normal, I can see the time and station info (or cd) on my display at all times while the headunit is on.

2) - That is normal, no scrolling - although you can push the rds button multiple times to see the rest of the info.

Thanks for your reply.

Sad that my '02 SVT focus had full RDS functionality and my 08 Z doesn't really.

I have a PAC audio Ipod integration unit attached, do you think that this screws me out of a warranty claim?

Take it to the dealer and ask them to take a look under warranty.

Your PAC is not going to void the warranty and if they say it does take it to another dealer.
