Dynamat Xtreme vs Dynamat Superlite
Is dynamat superlite worth it?
Xtreme is 0.45 lbs per square foot, but I can't find anything about Superlite, it says it's 20% lower..
Which one should I go with?

The selling point is you can do an entire sedan, the whole damn floor, doors ceiling, and trunk and only gain 30lbs. Superlite is a bit more expensive when I've found it. I like buying off amazon.com, got a bulk pack of Xtreme for $134.00 (50% off retail). I'd go with superlite as long as you're not putting some extremely heavy (and hard hitting) subs in there.
There is really no replacement for mass (weight). I found the Hushmat poly-based product to be cheaper than DX and still be of exceptional quality. I have 108 square feet of in in my Z and its incredible.
Here is my understanding of Dynamat Xtreme vs. Dynamat Superlite. Hopefully someone will correct me if my statements are not correct.
Notice that the Corvette has very thin sound-proofing panels, but the panels are fit precisely and deaden very well. That is the concept for the Dynamat Superlite (lighter, thinner, and better fitment to achieve sound deadening with a lighter weight product).

- Dynamat Xtreme is thicker, heavier, and provides the best sound-deadening.
- Dynamat Superlite is more thin (i.e., easier to install), lighter, but provides slightly less sound deadening. This product depends upon sealing the sheets end-to-end or at the sheet’s terminus to get the best result.
