do you have the 6 disk changer? apparently it is a common problem, the "eye" mechanism gets jammed up and stops moving. unless its under warranty it is not worth fixing. mine did this and im replacing it with a new DD pioneer.

yes it is a 6 disk changer so there is no point in fixing it? should I replace it with a stock bose head unit, or is it better or cheaper to go after market? I dont have any plans on changing out the speakers, the stock set up is fine with me only if it worked!

yea i wouldnt recommend fixing it because it will be more trouble and $$$$$ than its worth, a new aftermarket double din is around $500. im not sure how much the BOSE system sells for used but upgrading is always better.

ive been listening to the radio for 3 months now since it happend to me. got SICK of it and pulled the trigger on a new unit, should be here monday.
