I haven't seen a diy, but I know that I've seen some online vendors that sell a pre-made box for the setup. I personally wouldn't do it because it looks like the sub could be easily damaged.
He's talking about the one sealed subwoofer on the floor people.. Looks pretty good but I'd do it a little different as in sub deeper in floor and flush grill.
MDF, brad gun, wood glue, square and a tape measure.
Not trying to be an ***...but I don't have plans or anything. Just did it.
haha did you use a stop sign for the design? lookgs great but as for a dail driver not practical unless with a grille. not knocking the stop sign thing... just saying. Very very clean and crafty work!

Thanks man!
Actually, it was kind of a design on the fly type of thing. I built the box and then needed to cover the rest of the trunk. So instead of a circle I just turned it into a stop sign. Angles are just easier to cut for me out of wood. There is a ton of airspae in that box and the port is pretty huge. I built it pretty close to spec from JLs website recommendations. It is pretty accurate, which was what I was wanting. I don't really like loudness as much as I like being able to actually hear my music.
And my car isn't a daily driver. Usually the only thing that goes back there are my golf clubs. But I would like to pick up the screen one day, for safety sake.
been wanting to find a box exactly like this where the sub will sit where the spare was. if you have a girll/cover on the woofer you should be good to go
Here is my sealed design for a 10" Hertz ES250D woofer. It fits perfectly without moving around if you force it all the way forward between the strut pillars. It has spare room in the backwards direction for making it bigger (to fit other kinds of subs). Measurements are in mm, material used is 22mm LDF.
It sounds fantastic also. I redid the box like 3 times before being happy with the resonance curve.
