I don't believe it can be done.
There are essentially only 3 motion signals the Nav system gets... Vehicle Speed Sense (a pulsed signal that corrects position, compensates for tire wear, etc), the GPS antenna signal, and a gyro signal to measure angular velocity (built into the DVD control unit). The NAV system itself determes that the vehicle is moving.

Similar situation with the annoying "I Agree" button on start-up. It's built into the systems program.

Anyone else know of any tricks to get around this ??

I too HATE that some engineer has determined that I do not have enough inteligence to finish entering an address while the car is creeping... I hate having to totally stop to finish entering an address ... or select an address from the addressbook that is not on the first page...

If there is something that can eliminate this, I am ALL OVER it!

I will call my wife tonight in Tokyo and have her go ask her bro to go to Autobacks. First I need to know who makes our Nav System.

I know he had one on one of his other Nissans in the past and I have seen them *** well being sold a Autobacks. I am sure they must have a websight.

I hope to be going there again in the upcoming months. My bro-in-law was on a waiting list for over 8 months to get his new Skyline GTR earlier this year or late last year. When Nissan said they were only going to produce more he was very happy since he was # 3 on the list, but by the next day he moved to # 13. A bunch of Nissan employees got there names on the list. He eventually got his car but not the color he wanted. He wanted a blue one but got stuck with a white one.

I kind of got him into cars a couple years ago when I was going to Japan all the time getting parts for my Impreza. Now his family is a twin turbo family. He gave his newer twin turbo Sube B4 to his pops. It's an automatic...

He upgrade his nissan 4 pots to aftermarket 6 pots recently and was going to send them to me. Since he had allot of stuff to give to me I was going to get a Performance model instead of the Track one. But I got lucky and founf a used 2003 in the paper, fully loaded evverything but side airbags. He wanted 32K, ended up getting it for 29.8K. I will bring his GTR rims back and seats my next trip....

Yes I have driven his ride. Can't say nothing bad about it...just can say wow!!! Everything about the car is sweet... I really love the computer that it has in it... Anyways I am rambling...

Once someone lets me know who the manufacturer is I will call her. I was thinking it's Alpine, not sure though. I know if she went to Autobacks they would know what model is in there Fairlady Z, but it could be different then ours. If nothing else I will check my next trip which will be in the next month or two.
