I had that unit... It really sucked!... The unit would freeze when I used my ipod with it... I tried using other Ipods and it had the same problem...

 

me and my boy installed it.

 

i heard this is a problem on this unit but for the price i figured id take a chance.

Alpine ixa-w404. I hate it so much!!! I wish I would of got something better. For some reason my reception is horrible. Then to do the settings u have to have the parking break up!! Lame!!! Lol. Have u had any of these problems

 

I haven't had to much problem with the iPod thing. I just have my old nano on it.

 

my reception is terrrrrribleee but i was told if i go back to the stock antenna it shouldnt be a problem but im not exactly sure y it is. other than that so far so good but i also have noooooooooooooo clue how to change the time lmao.

 

Hahaha!! Ya I drove to work today with the stock antenna back on the car and I had a lot better reception. Ya if u put the ebrake up then hit setting u should be able to change it. That is if u didn't try to bypass it

 

Just buy the pac-tr7 module and you won't have that problem anymore... i got one brand new for 20 bucks

If you don't have the parking and foot brake wires bypassed or correctly set, you can't access the other features and settings...

If you don't want to wire them to their to where you have to use the hand and foot brake, get a Pac-tr7 bypass module... They are cheap and very easy to install...
