Default Front speaker issue

I want to install some better speakers in the doors. I thought I was going to use the 6.5 Component set that I had from my last car, I took off the door panel to realize that they wont fit because they hit the window. I know this is a common issue and ive searched to find the max depth the speakers can be with no real results. I know you can use the stock speaker as a spacer which is about 1".

I want to use a MEMPHIS 15-mcc6 which is a 6.5 component set. They say the depth is 2.6". Can anyone tell me if they will fit

are you financially in a place where since you are saving money by using 6.5" components you already have and there is no out of pocket using the Memphis that you can purchase a pair of Nazar's door pods ?

this will push the speaker away from the windown roughly 2-3 inches , giving the option to pretty much house any 6.5" driver avaialble?

you will also have better front stage imaging by placing the speaker in the pods

i can tell you that using the factory location behind the factory grill is like talking with your hand in front of your mouth and makes it sound well pretty bad

i use a 6.5" digital design DDW6.5" and that has 3.5" mounting depth

Idk if I like the speaker pods or not. They kinda look out of place imo. Is it possible to atleast find the textured vinyl that is on the door panel anywhere.

Does anyone possibly know what the mad depth a speaker can be to fit in the door?

Just under 2 ½” (63.5 mm) depth from wall is about the maximum for the Z’s stock front door mount. To be safe, go with a depth of 2 ¼” (56 mm).

The majority of 6 ½” component speakers do not fit the Z’s stock door mount. If you want to mount good components there, look at 5 ¼” components.

As others here mention, door pods are a very good solution that provides better sound and removes depth restrictions for your front door speakers.
