does not mean that you can't have a good system and have fun
No problem, man. I don't see challenges as discouragement, I see them as motivation. I think that's what drives us DIY guys the most - we hear "It can't be done" or "It hasn't been done", and we really get excited.

Yup.... They rattled also lol

If for some reason I need access to it then I'll cut it and lay a new sheet

I've had the same question about the gas tank covers. So far I've done dynamat extreme over the whole area, including under where the gas tank covers sit so that it wraps over the edge of the opening. I am also putting it on the top and bottom of the gas tank cover itself. Did you do something similar and still have rattles from it?

Also, are there any other "rattle areas" for you guys?

I'm probably going to lay carpet (maybe padded) on top of the dynamat to dress it up a bit and for an additional layer of sound deadening - not just for rattles, but to cut down on road/exhaust noise as well. I figure if I take out

Just one layer over compressed the caps shut.... So no rattles at all... I thought about doing it under and leaving the caps exposed but then I wanted the whole area to be black so I tried one side and it worked so I figured there was no need for more

Another rattle area is the brake light but you don't have that problem... Lol

Really for me its all the plastic that I took out.... Unless that's what was more noticeable and now that I took it out... I'm going to find more lol ... Who knows... Hopefully I find out soon enough

Sparkle- check out second skins website... They have some foam and other stuff specifically for what your asking.... The dyno mat and damp pro is mainly to strengthen the metal and prevent rattles .... Don't get me wrong.. It made a night and day diff in my z with the road noise and exhaust note... Now I don't feel like my exhaust is too loud lol .... Bit they have stuff made specifically for what your looking for.... Hit up SS rep Jon

I was watching your conversation about SS earlier today and was going to do some research while traveling tomorrow. I'm flying from Greenville, SC through Philadelphia, PA to Manchester, MD tomorrow for a business trip. I'll have some time in the airports to gather info and then time on the plane rides to check it all out. I always like to have something to research/read on flights, so I print website materials to PDF so I can review it all in flight when there is no Internet connection. This is great timing.

Untill my audio fund builds back up so I can try a new shop... I'm going to have to play with it like this... Same spot still....

I haven't forgot about it.... Hopefully soon il get it done...

My goal is to :
Build false floor, mount sub(s) behind seats facing the front windshield ... Kinda like a wall
Change up amps (more power)
Change to H.O. Alt.
And change the imprint to a different processor .... Most likely audio control... While I'm at it I think just for ***** I'm gonnna put a meter from audio control ... Still will be using a TL tho but I know the ac is portable (if im not mistaken)

BUT!
I want to do this ALL in ONE shot .... Get it over with at once! you guys saw what happened to me at my last shop.... Man the hook me up on prices but now I feel like they took advantage of my kindness... I always let the shop fix there mistakes... But c'mon when you tell me that my HAT's are **** then your smoking crack.... Bc they haven't won so many awards for no reason... Right? I still think my hats can sound MUCH better .... So I'm just going to take it to someone who actually sells HAT's bc they know more about them....only problem is there dealers are so far away from me... But oh we'll bc I want this done right .... I don't want to mess with my system for atleast 1-2 yrs .... Shoot atleast 6 months! lol

Well you guys know all that ain't gonna be cheap so I gotta save up some spending money and Christmas DID not help at ALL ( with my BiG FaM)lol

Wish you guys happy holidays
