Stereo Install-What is this Brown connector?

I am installing a touch screen stereo in my 2007 350Z (base, non bose). I bought the plug n' play harness kit. The harness kit connects to the two white plugs but there is nothing to connect to this brown plug?

What is this brown plug for? Can I just leave it alone when I put the new stereo?

that is the CAN bus interface, and would let you use steering wheel volume controls if you added the buttons to the steering wheel. with an aftermarket radio it will not be used.
