$1000.00 System build. Head Unit Not Included. Advice?
Alright I have been debating on whether or not to post this but I figured it was about time.
I have been looking to build a system well for the same reason everyone else does.
I haven't decided if I want a sub or not. But after getting back into listening to music like Pretty Lights again it seems like I may be looking to add that in the category.
My question is for $1000.00 what would you recommend. I would like it to be an open air box also which I will most likely build myself.
I am looking for Fronts Rears Sub and amps for both.
I am not even sure that is possible for that price but I don't need name brand speakers but I would like good sound quality well on a budget.
Thanks in advance,
-Michael

Your decision to include a SubW is smart since most modern recording expect this
The $1k budget you define is realistic for the SubW and its amp. It’s difficult making a specific recommendation based solely on price (and especially since you plan doing some of the fabrication, which results in a large saving$).

I would say plan on the quality you want to spend on. Also see if you want 1 sub or two. I would recommend a 10" sub to keep cost down and be able to keep some of the trunk space. Remember you get wa you pay for....
I just remember on ebay there is a sub box that fits under the strut bar and it for a 10" sub for $100 give or take $20. Remember more Rms the more you may have to pay for the amp(which can be exspensive!)
