Default opinions, comments, recommendations on my setup

hey everyone my name is Anthony and i have an 08 ppw 6sp 350z. I am working on getting my audio all together and would like any insight to help me out with the little things i dont have yet and any opinions or recommendations anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the current equipment i have installed;
-kenwood DNX 7140 head unit
-focal K2 power 165 kr2 for the doors (already installed)
- JL audio 300/4 amp hooked up to the doors

Here is what i have that i am going to install;
- JL audio 1000/1 amp
- JL audio 13tw5

Here is what i want to add (any opinions)
- focal K2 power 165 KRC for the speakers in back of the seats, will connect to the jl 300/4 already installed
- another jl audio 13tw5 so i can have the amp power 2 subs.

so thats what i am going for but any recommendations on capacitors and anything else i may need and if i should buy a box for the subs or have one made. If i need one made what to make it out of etc.... any advice would help greatly and would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read/answer my thread.

i have a similar set up.. that flat sub is cool, but dont do the cubby box if you ahve a coupe, they sound like hell, thats just too much speaker for all that plastic.. its not a rattle or a buzz, its a violent sound.. pretty nasty IMHO.

I went w an inexpensive spare tire delete box all the way in the back, but its only for one sub.. its 1.2 ft cu as built and i had it reduced it to the recc'd .8 cu ft.

You can surely have something custom built, but make sure you do NOT run a smaller box than the .8 cu ft.. they sound like hell in boxes that are too small.

Heres a pic of it cut for 2 12's.. mine will be here friday. 135 and 35 to ship...

but if youre set on 2 13's, youll need to get one custom done, shouldnt cost too much. top board can just be cut by tracing your floor mat. doesnt have to be the full floor like this one tho. I will most likely cut the larger unnecessary part off when i get it.

also, you need major electrical system beef up to run that stuff.. or you WILL kill your alternator.

huge wire, sanded to metal grounds everywhere, and a big capacitor set up.

Trust me.

haha yea thats for sure.. i have a 2008 350z lol im putting the system in that... and yea ive heard the cubby boxes are not that great.. i was thinking of putting the one on the floor like your setup as well but just dont know if i should use plexiglass or just wood.... dont want to gain tooo much weight lol.. thats why i went with ordering the shallow mounts because they are lighter than others... but the rest of my setup is good though? and what brand and how big of a capacitor do you think i should run?

i run the stinger 10 farad box cap.. handy install. saves space etc.

Plexi? nah, not a good box material.
just have them use MDF.. i think the box i bought weighs 30 lbs.. not bad.

if youre concerned w weight, id stick to one sub IMHO.. any more and youre gona G out your Z.. seriously.. they are quite loud w just one.

haha well my whole top is cf so i have that extra eight i can gain but i would rather not, but the reason i was going to run the 2 subs because i have a 1000/1 jl amp and i dont know if its too much for the sub or what... if it will sound good with 1 id rather do that and spend the extra money buying the capacitor and box etc...

uh thats a negative ghost rider.

no plywood. EVER.

I cant even count the ways that plywood is totally useless for a subwoofer box.
