Default Installed Aftermarket HU, Service Engine Soon

so i installed my HU yesterday and after i started the car up the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. I have installed numerous head units in various cars... and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. Is it common for the Z's to do that after the factory stereo is taken out? I used the metra harness and dash kit combo. The only wires i wasnt sure about was the amp ground and amp turn-on. I connected the amp ground to the chasis ground, and the amp turn-on to the ignition switch. Any thoughts?

edit: its a 2008 with bose

must have been a fluke... did a diagnostic and fuel pressure sensor A or something like that was on... deleted the code and it didnt come back on.

yeah that happened to me too when I re-installed my Kenwood. I checked the codes, cleared them and haven't come back since.

I had the same problem when I did my install.

If you search, you could find that the SES light is from unplugging the white box while the battery was plugged in. Its nothing to be afraid of, just get your codes cleared and go along with your day.
