Okay guys I know some of you like tons of bass, but i like a good amount. not something overwhelming. I used to have a 12w6 in a ported box running off a jl audio 500/1 and that **** pounded pretty good. but i decided to sell it because it was time for some change and got a cedarslink sub from these guys out in San Leandro CA and i am in awe. I was going to go with a 10w7 with a sealed zenclosure box, but got a good deal on this cedarslink 12 in a sealed box and i couldnt be any happier with it. it hits harder then my 12w6 in a ported box and sound quality is on its own level compared to when i had my w6 in a sealed box. so if you want a sub that is cheaper and ***** on jl subs go with cedarslink! just my 2 cents.

 

I'd take you any day with my two 8w7's ported, you tell me then what good quality is.

 

i was looking at ur w7s a bit ago and those are so cute! yeah i said it cute! but i know they sound sick but price is a little steep compared to these cedarslinks. they r just an up coming company based in San Leandro. I decided to try their sub out and man its awesome. and a very well thought out job on that box. and even though i just got this sub im alrdy thinking about selling it cuz i think ima go more for power then visuals

I do admit they're expensive, I did buy them when JL had the factory authorized 25% off the w7 line 2 1/2 years ago. So got them both for $350.00 (each). People all the time look at them and ask if they're 8's and laugh, then I play a song and they stop. Just gotta build the right box for the right space, and you'll blow people away.

when they stand the test of time that JL does, then ill take a look.

the newest thing may seem better to you in your opinion, but id rather pay the premium to have the history, support, and the proven preformance of JL any day.
I buy what works and what has already worked for others... I generally steer clear of new items full of promises.

Glad you enjoy your box, but a replacement for JL? MMM.. i dont see that occuring. Again, happy you found a deal tho, and thanks for sharing etc.

okay LT we all know there are better woofers out there like ascendent and DD audio. some of us like the quality of our music rather then blowing our ear drums.

also i will disagree with you. if these people knew about these other brands they wouldn't be buying the over priced box store products they buy. i also preffer woofers that are able to be re-coned and you can speak directly with the owner of the company.
