Default left side has no audio.

hey ya'll, my stereo is having problems. the left side speakers dont power, every once in a while it turns on and then goes dead again. i am thinking its a wiring issue. but what other possibilities are there?

Faulty head unit, mine did the same thing, replaced it problem solved. If you hit the side of the HU will the left speakers come back on? Mine did and it worked fine again for a few days but it got worse over time. I had the Blows system in my Z, not sure what you have? Good Luck!

You have to trace the signal from the problem (speaker) to the origin. Once you have found a signal, you know that everything BEFORE the signal is good.

My bose system in my 2004 G35 is doing the same thing. My speakers work perfect while listening to AM/FM but when listening to CDs the left side cuts in and out. I have found if I bang on the left side of the radio housing the speakers comes on...sometimes. Very Annoying. I will be upgrading to aftermark stereo in the future.

Your problem is likely the H/U. That statement is supported by many problem reports.

Of course it might be something else, but the intermittent nature points to an electronic problem (the H/U) rather than a physical problem (wiring).

Love the forum! My '05 Z acts the same way, losing left side speakers occasionally while listening to CD changer. I will try banging the left side of the head unit, but I found that ejecting the CD and then immediately re-inserting it will solve the problem (until it happens again!)

Never mind. I thought this was important. Important enough to say “thanks” or simply reply.
