Default aftermarket system in touring

Hey all! I just picked up my 350z over the weekend and it is the silverstone touring edition. I'm not really pleased with the BOSE system that it came with and I was wondering what some of you who put in aftermarket did with the sub location that comes with the BOSE. I don't plan on using this location to house my sub because I plan to get a custom enclosure done. Any thoughts? Suggestions?? Thanks

A lot of people are using that location to put their amps.

You can look here https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=18952 and check out some of the enclosures and custom systems that some of the members have done. By the way congrats! on your new purchase you will find that alot of the members here are very knowledgeable and helpful about the 350z.

Thanks for the info!! I've been looking on the forum for a couple of months. I'm really enjoying the car so far.

Hello...I have an aftermarket speaker question: I am having a hard time deciding on speakers. I would love to install Boston Acoustics, can only find one pair on ebay. My back up choices are Alpine SPS 170A's or the Kenwood KFC-1687.

Is anyone familiar with the performance of these drivers, especially in a 350?

Thanks

I have the BA R/C series. They kick! Crystal clear with accurate sound reproduction. IMO, they marginally outperform the Alpine SPS 170As and are much better than the KFC-1687. Check out the BA Pro series too. BAs are pricey though..ranging from $300 to $1000 for one pair.
