Just bought P4300DVD...what else do I need?
Ive been doing a lot of research into this but am still unsure on a few things, and I cant seem to find answers on these forums or google that are set in stone! This will be my first audio install ever so I want to make sure I do this right and dont end up pulling everything apart and realize im missing something
So basically what I need is a Metra Dash Kit? Part Number 99-7402
A Wiring Harness. Shouldnt have a problem finding that.
My 03 Z has a BOSE system, so from what I gather I DO NOT need an antenna adapter?
And I want to be able to run an ipod cord through to the cubby, and be able to charge AND watch video's AND play music off my iphone. What cord exactly do I need for that? The one that comes with the HU or something else? Im getting conflicting answers on this. If its something else where exactly can I find this?
Last Question, for the parking break bypass, what exactly do I need? seen a lot of threads about this but nothing gives an exact answer that I can find for the 4300DVD, I hear that you need something with a delay but Im not sure on this or if you can just ground the wire.
Any Help would be appreciated I would love to get this installed asap I just have no idea what Im doing and am relying on your guys expertise , thanks !

I just installed the 4400 and what I used was:
Metra Dash Kit
Metra Wiring Harness for bose, with the rca plugs
If you want video from the ipod, youll have to use the pioneer cable. I just used the usb cable it came with, and plug in the cable you usually connect your ipod to your computer with into that, charges plays music, pandora etc.
I ordered a parking brake bypass from amazon, was like $10, works perfectly.

Thanks for the post. Did you need an antenna adapter at all? Im assuming no. Also if you hook up the ipod that way does it play videos on the HU as well? Thats pretty important to me.

I didnt use an antenna adapter, just make sure you wire the antenna wire to a switch power source, i just used the red one.. so its blue from the harness to red on the aftermarket units harness if that makes sense.
If you want video you have to use the pioneer cable, which is really short so youll have to figure a way to run it.
I just ran my usb cable out and under by the passenger footwell so I didnt have to drill holes or anything, but having video wasnt super important to me.

the ipod cord makes video work? I know the one that comes with it is short but would it not reach the cubby and then I could just plug my regular ipod cord into that and it would work fine?

Also hearing from other posts that if you dont get the PAC adapter sound quality will not be as good, and there could be issues with distortion at high volumes. Does anyone that has installed this WITHOUT the PAC adapter have any of these issues? I do have Bose. And If I get the PAC adapter do I also need the wiring harness? I think yes but confirmation would be great, thanks so much!

Take it easy man. Not too hard. You have Bose so instead of the harness you were going to buy, get PAC ROEM-NIS2 to interface with your Bose amps, speakers and sub.
Just match the colors to the colors on the Pioneer harness that came with your P4300
Don't forget to wire the Antenna wire. Your Pioneer harness has only one Amp trigger wire but you use the same wire to power your antenna. Since you don't have aftermarket amps, you can use the same wire without worrying about a relay.
Just connect the Blue/white wire from your pioneer harness to both the blue wire and the blue/white wire on the harness that you buy. Blue/white means blue with white stripe.
The iPod cable is Pioneer CD-IU200V
I installed the exact same unit recently except I got rid of all Bose equipment. However i also installed another pioneer in a second Nissan with Bose so i used the PAC ROEN-NIS2 harness. Feel free to PM me with any other questions.
About the bypass, don't just ground the wire as the other post said. The process for this unit is different. Infact it also involves connection with that same amp trigger wire I talked about. Let google be your link to "youtube".
Driving and watching video is a bad idea though and could be illegal in some states.

Yes, the ipod cable is short and it works. However if you want the song names and a longer cable, but the cable with the 3.5mm aux. It will make it longer if you know what i mean lol
