Compustar Alarm / remote start question
Definately spent the past hour searching. . . . .
Tuesday I'm getting the Compustar ft6000as with 2w9000 remote. I am trying to validate 3 things as searching on google and here did not give certain answers and hopefully it will help anyone searching in the future:
1. Making the gas lid open with the remote. According to one post it just hooks into the blue/red wire On the fuel door switch on the dash. Correct?
2. Windows auto up and down. I found a couple links stating because the Z can already to auto window up and down you don't need a module just a couple relays. Other posts say you do need a module. Does anyone know a definitive answer?
3. Any other cool things Z owners have done with an aux input? So far I have trunk and gas but would love the windows and any other thoughts, maybe rear defroster, or the heated seats ?
Thanks in advance everyone!

In order for the windows to work you have to run the lock and unlock wires in to the drivers door and make the connection there. If you use a module for the lock and unlock you can't control the windows. If you run the wires in to the doors you then just have to extend the (-) pulses on the lock and unlock wires to make the windows go up and down (no relays needed).
On one old car I had I hooked the headlights to a 30 second timed output so when I hit the aux button the lights turned on. Came in handy on a few occasions but not something I've ever did again.
