Help with new headunit install
Hey folks, I'm replacing my Pionner headunit with a navi unit but when its all hooked up I have to turn it all the way up to hear it. I have the amp wire hooked up and when its hooked up theres sound but very faint if the wire is taken off there is no sound so the amp is turning on when the wire is connected. I'm using the harness from crutchfield it uses rca jacks and I have them put into my front and rear off the headunit like the manual says to do. Why is the thing so dang quiet and if I bypass the factory amp with the speakers be louder?
Are you using the PAC-ROEM NIS2?

You would need to use that with factory BOSE.
EDIT: Just noticed you said you already had an aftermarket radio working 100% in there? Also, you said you have the stock NAVI, and you're putting in another navi unit?

I'm using a crutchfield kit but I found what the issue is my preamps are 2V insted of 4V like the old headunit guess I'm gonna install new speakers so what exactly do I need to do?
Gut the whole thing, new speakers, new amp, new sub(s). At that point its just like any other car, get the right sizes, look in the audio forum for ideas. Decide if you want to use the stock sub location or in the back.
