What Double-Din fits more flush or possibly slightly recessed into location best? I've seen numerous Double-Dins that stick out past the install trim ring and it looks horrible! Any pics would be a plus too!

The issue isn't which HU you choose, it's the mounting kit. The face of the console is a complex curve, so a well-designed kit will fit flush around its outer edges, but you're still mating a HU with a flat face to the trim piece's inner edges. So, the HU will fit flush only in a few places around that complex edge, might be recessed 1/8" in a few places, and extend out maybe 1/8" in a few other places. You can adjust the depth of the head unit to get the best compromise, but only an OEM HU will fit flush all the way around (because it's got a curved face). I think the kit I used with the Kenwood HU in my '08 is a Metra, but that's as close as I can come. Got it from Crutchfield.

Go through this thread, especially the part about widening holes + metra kit, and it should clear up any confusion. I followed this and my Kenwood unit fits pretty flush. Hope this helps!
