Question New Head unit issues

So i installed my new headunit - Pioneer AVH-P3400BH and really like it

I have not swapped speakers yet but used the metra bose wire harness. I have noticed the loudness of the radio is about 1/2 of the bose (blows) stock radio and after some reading now conclude its because the factory amps need 4 volt preamp outputs and mine is like 2 volts. I have read where there is a booster or some device some people use to over come this issue but have not been able to id what part this is or where to buy it. If anyone has any info regarding this it would be a big help.

Thanks in advance

I will also be swapping the speakers and such in the months to come but can not as of yet - so please no comments like just buy new speakers or amps or whatever may be on your mind. The plan for now is to use what speakers and amps are there.

Is this what I need? PAC-ROEM NIS2

Hmm when I put in any of my radios they made everything louder. Not 1/2 as loud. Did u turn on the factory amplifier? I'm sure u did because u would have no sound at all if u didn't. Mabey get a radio with a stronger Pre amp? Not sure about urs.

Yup you need the PAC ROEM NIS2. It will allow you to utilize the Bose amps. It's what you use until you decide to completely swap out all the Bose amp/speakers.

I used the metra harness on my AVIC F90bt and it worked no problem.. Did you use the RCA inputs for the speakers? I think there was two different kind of matra harness. But my stock system is deff a little louder and clearier w the avic, radio did freeze for around 6 months but that's another story

The PAC rom deff works I just didn't relieze n didn't wanna wait for it to be delivered
