Need some final opinions to finish off my speakers system!
How's it going everybody, so far my stereo system consists of:
2x JL 10"s

And my new head unit, the Pioneer DEH-X5500HD

After much research and use of the search function, I've come to conclusion that my rear speakers were disconnected intentionally.
Reference:
"The best thing to with your rear speakers is fade them to “no sound.”
If you are not the original owner and not hearing any sound from the rears, I would guess that the previous owner simply disconnected these junk rear speakers (they are horrible and only pollute your sound)."
..Now my only questions (and choices are), should I:
A) Leave the rear speakers as they are, get new component speakers
B) Get new rear speakers as well as component speakers
Another quick question is, do you think I am going to need another additional amp for my new speakers?
And of course, the budget..... I am trying to stay between $500-$1000.
Thanks for your help... If I was unclear, what I am basically looking for help and opinions for are on:
1) What component speakers to get?
2) What rear speakers to get? (or just leave the stocks in, but unplugged)
3) What amp to get? (If necessary)
4) Budget $500-$1000
My car is a 2003.
Thanks again...

Here is what i have
Rears are Infinity reference 6032si
Front components Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 (6.5 inches)
Jl audio 10 inch subs in enclosures in same location as yours
Jl 300/4 for the 4 speakers
jl 500/1 to power the subs
Since you have your subs already you would come close to staying within budget
I have the system faded a bit to the fronts but does not completely take out the rears
it is a matter of preference. And to make your investment worthwhile, look into some door pods
It made a huge difference in mine, not kidding

My set up:
Boston Pro 60 SE front comps ( 389 new on ebay) are fantastic speakers and a hr cheaper than focals or morels. But you cant buy better gear than these three.
Wicked CAS pods 200 ( paint them lemans too.. ftw)
Alpine SPR coax rears.. adequately loud and detailed, cheap. hold lots of power.( 90 bucks)
4 channel amp , I recc Alpine PDX for many many reasons.. 4 ch from around 280-380 on ebay new.
I run imprint sound processing too,but this set up is TIIIITs.
You dont ahve to have the CAS pods.. but i had them done to match then handles.. silverstone for the box WHEN i ran it.. was faaaar too heavy w 2 10W7s in it.. almost 100 lbs lol.

My 2 cents...
1: **** on the rears. I have a nice set of alpines in there, but eventually I ended up turning them all the way down. Being right behind your head, they just mess up the staging.
2: yes, a new amp is critical to run the components. The last thing you want to do is spend good money on a set of components and send a poor signal to them. A bad amp can make a top of the line set if components sound like ***.
3. Really spend money on the amp. It makes no sense as I said to buy nice components and send them a horrible signal. One of the benchmarks I use for deciding on amps and components is the Frequency Response. Which is the decibel level at which the amp or component distorts. So don't go buying a set of components with a FR of 92db and hook them up to an amp with a 85db FR..... You see where I'm going with this?
Having said that though, all that stuff is just numbers and manufacturers have a way of finagling those. So be careful.
4: I love CDT audio, and always recommend them. They have a very wide price range and you will likely find a set that fits your budget. But there are some really great brands out there. Remember though, your components are only as good as the amp feeding them. And make sure you set the amp correctly too.
I also buy most of my gear from woofersetc.com. Great service and prices, I've always had positive experiences with them.
Home this helps.
I like that headunit btw. In a big pioneer HU fan. I have the premiere DEH-P860mp in mine, and it sounds amazing.

You adds (specifically the H/U) are very nice.
Rear Speakers: Do not leave the cheap OEM speakers in place. Either disconnect the rears or replace them. I swapped out the cheap OEM rear speakers with Infinity coaxials. My front speakers are Focals.
All the speakers are driven by an external amp.
