Ok, so I picked up some speakers and was in the process of putting them in. Ran into the problem of them hitting the window, so I had to improvise. Well, needless to say, it turned out awesome.

Ripped out the old speaker from the speaker casing, did some trimming, and mounted the new speakers in the casing. Soldered the wires to the factory plug and it looks like it was meant to be.

 

Good Job! I ordered wooden pieces from zenclosures and sealed them. I'm rocking the Polk mm and love the setup.

 

Pretty much what most people do when they don't feel like buying or making spacer rings. Good on you for figuring it out by yourself though.

 

Yea I wasn't that fortunate. The original owner removed the speaker when I bought the car.

 

I searched on here and other than buying or making spacers, didn't see anything. And made it work.
And I wasn't surer about the Polks, but for $50 I couldn't go wrong, but they are great!

 

haha i did the same exact thing with my RF Power component speakers... glad im not the only cheap bastard that didn't wanna pay or wait for them...
