Head Unit
Pioneer AVH-X8500BHS
chosen for the appradio feature and more preamp outputs
Front Component
JBL MS-62C
I decided to pick these up after reading the review here and other places.
Amp
PPI p900.4
output power, price point, and reviews
10" Sub
RE Audio SRX10D4
air volumn requirements, RMS power rating, price point, and reviews
Zenclosure 10"
I have always liked the sounds from a ported box and this seems to meet the size requirements for porting with SRX10D4. I am not completly set on porting the box the decision will probably come after trying it sealed and seeing if I really want to port it.
This is the audio setup I have selected. The only thing that I haven't clicked purchase on is the sub and amp. Ill probably do that on the first when I get paid again.
I did have a budget in mind when selecting these items, although I was never able to really put a price on it all of this seems to fit in with what I am comfortable spending since I tend to prefer to spend my money on performance but the audio system sucks and has to go.
Thoughts?

I guess I should add I have not received this yet but yeah it's going to be a few weeks before I install all of this stuff so I'm not in any hurry.

Good luck! And thanks. Looking forward to seeing a pic of the final install
Nissan must've put their cheapest stereo in the Z, it was like listening to music from a boombox next to the pool, WHILE YOU ARE UNDERWATER.
Sounds like a nice setup.
The amp you've chosen has similiar specs to the one driving my setup, so it should be ample power. (I assume you are going to use 2 channels for your JBL's, and bridge the rear channels for your sub)
Make sure you get the zenclosures 1" spacer for the JBL woofers, unless you plan on fabricating your own, or making some out of the stock speakers shell.
Are you planning on deadening your doors? I found it to be a necessity with the JBL's, as they are very beefy drivers and would probably make the door vibrate/resonate unpleasantly without deadening.
I also found the JBL's sounded even better after I installed my sub, and set the high-pass filter at 60 Hz to them.
keep us posted on progress!

Just a few thoughts for food.
The porting size requirements don't include the size of the port. When you add a port the volume of the port isn't included in the total volume, so you would be decreasing your size of the box, and if I remember right I modeled a similar sub and it needed a crazy port length/diameter. Might be thinking of a different one though.
Yes get new spacers for your door woofers. Those speakers shouldn't be playing any lower than 60hz anyway, though you MIGHT be able to get away with it down to 50 depending on the power.
The other stuff I don't know enough about to comment. But those JBLs are sort of a forum boner on DIYMA and I have that sub in my car in a zenclosures box right now (though its tuned poorly so it doesn't sound great, yours will be better)

Yes I plan to as some sort of sound deadening, I may looking into attempting to fab up my own kick panels also but I need to do some more reading on that before I go that far.
Thanks for the input so far. Once it's all said and done Ill cover it all in a write up.
