Default 06 Nav Console for 05 Non Nav Console...Can it be done?

I have an '05 Non Nav Console. I want to install aftermarket navigation and aftermarket double din touch screen to get that OEM look. Does anyone know if this piece can be put in an 05?

I did it in my car. This piece alone will not fit, had to change the whole center console, AC amp & knee panels.

I was under the impression you would have to change the waterfall, shifter trim piece and center console to the updated '06+ interior.

that 06+ navi cubby wouldn't fit the 03-05 shifter trim.

unless you don't mind spending the money or are looking for the 06+ nav look specifically, I would just grab the 03 retracting cubby as you can fit several gps/7" screens without mod

Perfect, so just buy this piece and then install 7" GPS?

If you don't mind me asking, what nav unit, back up camera and double din stereo unit did you use?

Also, how did you do the glowing needles? Looks great by the way!
