Default Aftermarket CD Changer Install Question

Anyone install an aftermarket CD changer in the space where the Clarion 6 disc changer goes? I have a Performance model without the Clarion changer, so I have the extra storage compartment.

How did you do it? Did you have to make custom brackets?

I got a great deal on a new Eclipse 5083 CD changer and hope to use it in place of the extra storage compartment.

Thanks.

Here's my Pioneer 6 Disc. No brackets were needed, however, other 6 disc changers can fit with the door closed. Mine was a little too big for the door.

Wow, that looks good. Did you just slide the changer into that existing shelf?

Or did you drill holes into the shelf side plates and fasten the changer through the side plates?

Just slid right in, tight fit I might add. Anyway, my amps were not even finished at that point, still had the vinyl cover and plexiglass. Here's the finished product with the cover.
