SQL Head Unit/Deck

SQL Head Unit/Deck
Hey everyone,
In my last car, I sort of rushed my audio setup and I wasn't too happy with the end result. I really want to make sure I do it the right way this time around. With that said, could someone please suggest a few different head units? I'm looking for something high end, SQL-oriented. Preferably a double-din, but I could settle for a single. I'm not really looking for anything equipped with navigation because I already have a separate GPS for that.
Price isn't important, but I know stuff with navigation will hike up the price a lot. I would like to avoid that, if possible.
Thanks!

The PRS-99 is a beautiful sounding deck but its pretty expensive. Its younger brother, the PRS-80 is much more affordable and still a very nice sounding deck.
For double din, the go-to deck is the Kenwood 990 but I find it to be laggy and difficult to use. Personally, I would strongly consider going Pioneer Z150 or even the JVC 810. Yeah, JVC is not known for their SQ but they are using Kenwoods DA converters but not their GUI's. If you are really concerned, you should get a nice DSP like an ARC PS8, The Mosconi 6-8, the Audison BIT1 or the Bit10. That will take care of any tuning issues you may encounter.
